Three overtime outcomes ushered in the month of April on Wednesday night as the Guelph Storm, Niagara IceDogs and Barrie Colts all took victories in OHL Playoff action.

Givani Smith scored 5:24 into the extra frame to give the Guelph Storm a 3-2 win in Owen Sound. Justin Nichols came up big again, making 48 saves for the Storm who take a 3-1 series lead after losing Game 1 on home ice. Jason Dickinson and Garrett McFadden also scored for Guelph while Attack markers came from Petrus Palmu and Daniel Milne. Watch#GUEvsOS

The Niagara IceDogs evened their first round series with the Ottawa 67’s 2-2 as Brendan Perlini scored 6:03 into overtime to give them a 4-3 victory. Graham Knott tied things up with 2:42 left in regulation to force overtime. IceDogs defenceman Vince Dunn had another strong game with a goal and an assist. Travis Konecny and Brendan Bell had a goal and an assist each for Ottawa.  Watch #OTTvsNIAG

The Belleville Bulls outshot the Barrie Colts 43-28, but couldn’t solve goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood before Joseph Blandisi scored 1:34 into overtime for Barrie. The Bulls couldn’t capitalize on ample time on the man advantage as the Colts take a 3-0 series lead with Game 4 at the Yardmen Arena on Thursday. Watch  #BARvsBELV
